Nutrition Information

Availability of information about calories, fat, sodium, etc. on site and/or on the web

Nutrition Quality

Availability of healthily prepared fruit, vegetables, whole grain, lean meat & low-fat dairy

Food Preparation

Use of oils and seasonings; ability to have high-calorie ingredients omitted or served on the side

Portion Size

Ability to request smaller than normal portions

Special Consideration / Requests

Vegetarian options, accommodations for people with allergies or other special dietary requirements

Based on self-reports, establishments were awarded Zero, One, Two, or Three Apples. 
Ratings do not mean that everything on the menu is healthy!
However, the more Apples earned, the more likely it is that a customer can find healthy options on the menu.
